In addition, to this; I have worked with nine Hall of Famers in Toronto. Including GM, Pat Gillick, radio legend, Tom Cheek, and players:

Paul Molitor, Dave Winfield, Frank Thomas, Ricky Henderson, Jack Morris, Roberto Alomar, Phil Niekro, Roy Halliday and manager Bobby Cox. And most recently, Fred Mc Griff.  Once Roger Clemens goes in I will have worked closely with eleven Hall of Famers.

He also worked with two Cy Young Award winners, pitchers Roger Clemens and Pat Hentgen with whom I stay in close contact with today.

After retiring, I have done work as a concussion spotter for the NFL and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and currently work as an athletic therapist for the United States Tennis Association.

Tommy, a Wilmington, NC native is graduate of New Hanover High School (‘74) and the East Carolina University Sports Medicine program in 1980.

He then went on to the Cincinnati Reds, for one season in 1978 (Shelby, NC) and moved on to the the Toronto Blue Jay organization in Kinston- A , Knoxville-AA and AAA-Syracuse before reaching the major leagues at age 29. He then went onto a total of 25 years in their system. While there the Blue Jays won 5 AL East titles, 2 American League titles and back to back World Championships in 1992 and 1993!  One of the most significant accomplishments was the Blue Jays training staff under his direction led all of Major League Baseball with the least amount of man hours lost due to injuries for nine consecutive season. So his team had the least amount of disabled players for nine seasons out of his first ten major league seasons.

Tommy spent 15 years in the major leagues as the Blue Jays Head Athletic Trainer and Rehab Coordinator. He then moved on to the Milwaukee Brewers for ten years in player development until 2016 all in Brevard County, FL.  Tommy has also worked with the Chinese National Women’s fast pitch softball team for one season traveling world wide to China, Australia, and Japan.

He currently lives in Palm Harbor, FL and has three children, his two daughters, Sarah and Natalie are graduates of Florida State and his son, Geoff who played baseball and was an Academic All- American for the University of Louisiana- Lafayette Ragin Cajuns and then went on to graduated from the University of Florida.

He is the proud T- Paw of three grand children, Poppy-9, Quinn-7, and Calvin-5.

Currently TC, host a podcast called Real Voices of the Game and his show is Baseball Garage – “How to overhaul your game“ and he has just recently has written a book called “Wrap it Up” with long time friend, and fellow trainer, Jon Woodworth.

He was named the 1996 recipient of the Dr James Andrews Award for Excellence in Sports Medicine and recently has made the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame. TC has been nominated also for the ECU Athletics Hall of Fame as well.
